Roots rock, alternative country, folk, and indie are all terms to which Wilco’s sound has been likened. Most bands loathe being pigeonholed into a particular sound, and if you ask them what genre they fall into, you can actually see them cringe. Yet we all feel the need to relegate bands to made up genre names, and in recent years defining a band by a specific sub-genre (chillwave, anyone?) has become the norm. Thanks, I didn’t use a IPHONE I used a Canon. Ha so i’m not sure how good the images were then….

Oh sorry about that. I was by the stage for the first three songs and out of the corner of my eye I saw someone with an iPhone snapping away. My mistake man. I thought that was you. Not meant to be a diss on your pictures at all. I think they are cool.

It’s a Canon 30D…I need to upgrade bad.
It’s all about the lenses though. I have a 50mm 1.4 that can handle most dark rooms around the city. I also have a Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 that I love. I like shots with the whole band in it and this lens gets it all. I am eyeing a 70-200mm 2.8 that I will hopefully have for summer. We’ll see.
